Back at the POOL! Finally!

The Bear Hollow pool finally reopened for business this week. It felt like the "Repairs & Re-plastering" took months to complete, even though it was only shut down for two weeks. But I ask you, who shuts a pool down in the middle of June for repairs? You think they would have done so back in May, especially when Bear Hollow caters to so many tourists.... Oh well, we're back in business and very happy about it! If you need to contact us, you'll find us at the pool!

Safe for another week!

Gev was awesome last night and is safe for another week. What is great is that he sent a shout out to Park City Dance Academy members today saying "Hi" to everyone at the studio and a "Big Thanks" for all the votes! Macy has never been much of a Hip-Hop fan nor really had any interest in taking a class (not her style), but I think that's going to change if Gev comes back to the studio.......

Saying Goodbye is so hard.......

Always up for a new adventure, Drew is on his way to Surf Camp in Costa Rica! The surfing bug hit him in April on our trip to Hawaii, and well, you only live once.... right? So why not learn something new! Everyone had a really hard time saying goodbye, but we know time will go by fast, and before we know it, he will be home again. Hopefully he will return with some "rad" surfing skills which he will want to try out in Hawaii!!!!! That's the part that benefits us all!!!!!Hugs goodbye.....

We Went, We Ran & We Conquered!......

And look, we even came in 1st Place in the Coed Masters category for the Wasatch Back Marathon Relay! For old people, we can run a moderately fast pace (except for when you are trying to run 4 miles up a mountain pass)! I am happy to say that we all managed to finish with smiles on our faces! Will we do it again next year? Ya, I think we will!

Finally, MORE Party Pics!

I finally have the time to finish this Birthday Party Post! (Sorry, Macy, you know how busy my weekend became!) Macy had a very fun birthday party last Thursday! It started out as a scavenger hunt, and ended as a swimming party - a total surprise for her guests! The first clue started at our house, lead them to their school for an obstacle course, then to the LIMITED TOO store, (all the girls favorite place to shop) where they had to sing her Happy Birthday. The next clue lead to the Field House where they had to blow up beach balls and kick them in a race around the field. The next clue lead to the movie theater where they had to dance. Then it was off to "Cows" on Main Street for some ice cream. The final clue lead them to the swimming pool where they were all gifted with a suit and towel. They were completely surprised & excited! They had lots of fun, and even said it was the "Best Birthday Party Ever"! Lots of work to pull together, but well worth it! Macy had a blast with her friends and that's all I wanted for her!Singing a Birthday song....

I was getting a lot of "Mom, I'm bored" from Macy today, so this is one of the drawings I suggested she do. Half way through coloring the flower she got bored (again), so I helped finish up a little by coloring some of the background. I'm thinking I'm going to need to find A LOT of projects for her to do when she's not at dance, at the pool, at soccer practice, or tennis & golf lessons! Carter, on the other hand, is perfectly content with her laptop, iPhone, books & texting her friends!

Guess who's going to the 2008 U.S. Golf Open!......

DREW!!! Free VIP tickets through a friend! He gets to see all his "HEROS" in person!!! You want to talk about "giddy with excitement"! You would have thought he just spied Santa Claus putting presents under the tree! He leaves tomorrow night, watches Friday's round, and returns that same night. Could there have been any better Father's Day present for Drew than that? :)

Finally!! Summer!!

It feels like we have been waiting for such a LONG time! But we finally made it to the pool, and Carter & Macy had some fun in the water. If it hadn't been for our April trip to Hawaii (thank you Mom & Dad!), I really don't think we would have made it through the incredibly long winter. I can truly say that I hope I don't ever have to live through another one in my lifetime! For now, we are going to enjoy every hot day that we have this summer!



I actually should have been in HERE working rather than at the pool, but oh well.......

A night of "Sitting"!

As in Babysitting & Dog Sitting! Carter babysat Macy's friend Jenna and her two younger siblings. She now has a start to her iPhone fund - a few more babysitting sessions and she'll be a proud new owner! Macy on the other hand, is dog sitting Nico for her friend Sissy. They had a day filled with chase and play, and as you can see from the photos, they took a reading break and had numerous visits from Bogey!

Gev Manoukian makes the TOP 20 on "So You Think You Can Dance"! Hooray! Park City Dance Academy is thrilled and everyone will be rooting Gev on!!!!

CHICKEN!!!!

Carter just texted me and said she is too "SCARED" to ride "Wicked" at Lagoon! We'll see if she finally gets the courage by the end of the day! I'll keep you posted! Personally, I'd be all over that ride! I hate heights, but love a good adrenaline rush!

The JRES 4th Grade Track Meet was held yesterday morning at Ecker Hill Middle School. Can you believe it, Macy actually participated in something other than dance & soccer! But I have to say that both of those activities sure got her in shape for this meet! She took 1st Place in both of her hurdle events, 1st Place in the 200 meter dash & 1st Place in the quarter mile run! She out ran a lot of the boys for sure! Who knows, if she decides dance and soccer are not for her in the future, she could have a really great career in long distance running! The sad thing was that after running hard all morning, she had dance academy auditions after school and was completely wasted! Not that we need to worry about her making the academy anyway!.......Running to the finish line of the Quarter-Mile run! Look at the smile on her face!

On the 4.0 GPA list for her last quarter ever at Ecker Hill International School! This is nothing new for Carter, but this quarter was a tough one, with lots of stress & anxiety (missing a week of school to go to Hawaii didn't help, but it was worth it!). So a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Carter for a job well done & earned!!!!
