I "Yearbooked" us!

There is this great website where you can upload a picture of yourself, and see what you would have looked like in various yearbook pictures throughout the years. I thought it might be fun to do all of us......Drew in 1978! Not quite a mullet, but coming close... (girly-man)

Macy Scores!

Macy scored her first goal for Black Diamond tonight and it was beautiful!!! The ball was passed to her mid field, she ran it hard and fast down the line, kicked and scored! Black Diamond beat team Avalanche 3-1! It was a really fun game! Can't wait for the next one!

Back to School....

Unfortunately, it was back to school today. Where did the summer go? Winters around here seem endless and summers pass in the blink of an eye. Carter hopped on the school bus for the first time this morning for her 1/2 hour ride to school. When she came home, she actually said it wasn't too bad. It was the early morning that got her. On the bus by 6:50, eight classes and much chaos! She came home VERY tired! But she persevered, and will be in the groove by tomorrow. Macy on the other hand, went to school just like she has every year. Only this year she gets to "Rule the School" being a 5th grader. She has some of her best friends in her class and really likes her teacher. They get to do a majority of their school work on Mac computers (of which she is very savvy) so that is exciting. So now we'll just get back in the school year routine....Carter's bus off to Treasure Mountain....

A favorite spot!

Carter and I have decided the the Park City Golf Course has one of our favorite views in Park City. We love to sit on the patio by the pool over looking the putting green while we wait for Macy to finish her lesson. Drew went with Macy to her lesson today, and says that her drive is looking awesome! That's our girl! Must be taking after dad! Carter and I, we're just happy to sit and enjoy the view while catching up on what's new. I've decided that I want to be a little old lady who golfs! They're such fun to watch crusin' around in the carts in their perfectly matching golf outfits! Carter thinks that's great! She says I'll match Drew, a little old man who golfs....Macy drivin' the ball with her instructor Ben.... (She's the one NOT in the red hat)

New Locker!

Carter is still trying to comes to terms with having to be bused to Treasure Mountain Middle School next week. Drew and I keep telling her to just get this two year sentence over and then she gets to attend the beautiful newly remodeled High School! (That seems to be what all the parents are telling their 8th graders...) It is hard to leave the newer, bigger and better Ecker Hill Middle School, so I understand her not being too excited. Hopefully the teachers will be great!The new locker to be shared with her friend Emily.

It must be August!

Just a note....

When Carter & Macy started pre-school, I enclosed a small note with their lunches just to let them know that I was thinking of them. The need for those notes died a pretty quick death with Carter (she's knows I think of her during the day), but Macy still to this day, likes me to include a note with her lunch. Below are a few pics of some of the notes that I wrote her this year. Mostly they consisted of after school activity reminders, good luck on tests, and my favorite, "Hooray the snow is melting" exclamations. But my question to you all is, what do I do with all these notes now? Macy doesn't want me to throw them away... I was thinking maybe a book?........

Happenings in the absence of my computer....

Carter is now registered for 8th grade and NOT looking forward to it! The good news... she's made contact with her friend who has moved to Uruguay for the year! All is well!.... Macy has spent the week at a "Dance Intensive" camp where she had more ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip-hop, african & ballroom dance training. She loved it all except for when they combined classes with girls younger, then it was just "BORING" and way "TOO EASY!" Luckily that only happened 2 or 3 times. She loved dancing 5 hours per day though! Next on the agenda, hip-hop auditions with Gev!.... Drew survived another Outdoor Retailer Show making contacts and seeing old friends, and promptly crashed early every night... we also had some pretty crazy weather! It was fun to see Gev back on stage too! Currently I am battling to get tickets to the show! Fingers crossed!

It's raining, it's pouring.....

And Carter & Macy are out playing in it! I think they're doing some kind of appreciation dance to the rain Gods for finally letting us receive some!

And the winner is?....

We all decided that none of us would cast a vote tonight seeing as though we would love any one of these four to win "So You Think You Can Dance!" We can't wait to see who America choses, and to see Gev back up on the stage again! We have loved watching this season's dances, especially Macy who can't seem to stop dancing for a minute!

Carter's SOOOOO all over this one.....

She started reading the 768 page book yesterday afternoon and is almost done! And the good news... she says it's REALLY GOOD! Don't you just love a satisfying sequel!!!!!
