The Verdict.....

Here's what we thought of Twilight....
Carter gave it a big Thumbs Down.... (having read each book at least three times, she's a tough critic)....
Drew gave it a big Thumbs Down. Too "Chic-Flicky" for him...
I enjoyed it, but thought some of the acting could have been better. (What the heck was up with Jasper? I know he is the "tormented" vampire, but that was a little extreme!) Kudos to the actor playing James though, he was great! Wish we could have seen more of him... I have to say that over all, I am more of a Bill Compton fan. You know what they say, "Real men don't sparkle"....
Macy gave it a big Thumbs Up! She loved it! So much so, she wants to be a vampire now.....

Snapshots of a run......

I decided to take my camera along with me on my run this morning to document some of the sights that I pass along the way. I do not know how much longer my body will actually allow me to continue running, and I want to have a few snapshots to remember my favorite run by, one that I have done hundreds of times and really is a part of me. My only disappointment was that I didn't encounter any wildlife. Guess they decided to sleep in this morning....:)

Oh right... there's a Park City Nutcracker too! Almost forgot....

And this is Macy's Chinese costume. She's hoping to make a switch - for the gold one.... we'll see if we can make that happen!

For all you Utahn's.....

Hope Woodside from Fox 13 News has done a three-part TV segment on the process of being in the children's cast of The Nutcracker. On Friday, November 21, two of these segments will air during Fox 13 News at Nine. The third and final part of this series will air on Thanksgiving night, November 27, during the 9:00 p.m. news. Thought you might be interested in watching, could be fun to see what actually goes in to the production!

Happy Birthday Ford!

Thursday was another visit ETHAN day!

Because you just can't get enough of this cute boy! We had another face lighting up incident when Carter and Ethan saw each other, and of course he had to show Carter everything he's been up to. And best of all, Wednesday was his birthday, so Carter coming in to visit was sort of like a belated present! Carter just can't wait for next year when Ethan will be at Treasure Mountain too! These two just seem to click together so well, and Carter is such a great peer-tutor, it is such fun to watch her in action!

This mornings sunrise.... OUTSTANDING!

I told you she was smart!

Carter's first "High Honor Roll" Certificate from Treasure Mountain Middle School which she received today (along with 2 donuts). The first of MANY I am sure!
(Also, we have explained to the school district that Carter's middle name is spelled with an "S" and not a "Z" but they refuse to listen.....)

Almost perfect.......

Drew and I received an envelope the other day addressed "To the Parents of Carter Bedford" which is never alarming, it only piques our curiosity. Inside was Carter's report card and State Core Testing results. We are proud to say that the scores were almost perfect! A's in every subject (except for an A- in math, which is perfectly acceptable) and the highest scores possible on the Core tests in math, language arts and science. Are we surprised? Not at all... these are the grades and scores that we see every year for Carter. Congratulations again Carter! You are awesome!!!!

You have a very smart & talented brain!

A Snowy Saturday!

Drew and Macy had an afternoon of making snowmen and playing snowball baseball with shovels. A LOT of snowballs hit the windows!

Carter didn't want to go outside, OR have her picture taken! This is the best shot I got of her!

It's on again....

Knitting time! Carter is modeling my latest. She has been wearing the scarves to school, and now all her friends want one! I'm going to be busy!

My latest work-in-progress....

Well, it's here.....

and it looks like it's not going to leave until May....
Carter and I are wondering why we live in a ski town when we are not lovin' the snow.....
Kauai is looking very good right now!
