A HUGE Thumbs Up for Disney's "UP"!

We just returned home from seeing this movie and thought it was absolutely fabulous! It makes you laugh, cry and extremely stressed all at the same time! If you find that you have an extra couple of hours to spare in your day, you should take the time to go see it! It is well worth it!

Party Time!

Macy's Birthday was a rousing success and everyone had a great time! Bogie even came over to party and wish his "Best Friend" a happy birthday - but then, of course, Macy had to abuse him with some party balloons! Thanks to everyone for their Happy Birthday wishes!

I'm not Duff yet, but practicing is fun! And yes, Macy received a "Charm City Cakes" Tee as a gift. She loves it (almost as much as watching Ace of Cakes)!

Officially "11" Today!

I can't believe it! I guess parents always say that, but it's true! When I look at Macy, I no longer see that cute little girl, but a beautiful young woman... when did that happen? I think I blinked only for a second... What a great year it has been for May, from Nutcrackers and Solo success, to getting taller & having feet that are now bigger than Carter's! I really wish I could stack those books on her head to make her stop growing, or better yet, just stop time for a little while... I'll just keep enjoying every moment for as long as I can until she spreads her wings and flies on her own...

A Trampoline.....

After the big "Basement Purge" of yesterday, it was time to blow off a little steam. We piled in the car and headed over to the Saarela's to jump on their trampoline. I don't think I have laughed that hard in a really long time. Watching Drew propel Carter and Macy in the air was hilarious! And he was able to pull off a few tricks of his own as well. I basically played photographer, but did jump for a little while. After Drew spotted me on a back-walk-over and I kicked him in the face, I decided I was done.... A Panda feast completed the evening :)

Not bad for an "Old" man!

This was our Saturday..... :(

We spent it cleaning out the basement closets. The big blue dumpsters have arrived in Pinebrook and Big Brothers & Big Sisters will be in the neighborhood next week, so we thought it was time for a "Purge" & donation. This is something that I love having done, but I sure hate it while I'm doing it! And the sad thing is we're not done.... more tomorrow!

Summer Camps, here she comes!

Instead of sitting around the house all summer, Carter has signed on as a volunteer with Park City's National Ability Center. Such an easy decision for her with her love of peer-tutoring and helping kids with any type of special needs! She will be swimming, cycling & rock climbing with the kids. So great! And these hours will count towards her community service goals & look good on scholarship applications. Way to go Carter! :D

I am so ready....

Drew says I have a "Dark Side" that only comes out once and a while - well mostly when I read Stephen King, but maybe that's why I love this show so much.... Something needs to fill that LOST void now.....

$250.00 and counting.....

Macy had a very profitable night last night at Jeremy Ranch Elementary School's annual art festival. She sold most of her jewelry and in 3 hours had made almost $300.00! Not too shabby! Now we're off to start beading again.....Here she is at her booth. She enlisted her friend Julia and Julia's little sister JoAnna to help her sell.

Carter and Mallory came as our back-up booth seller's, but ended up hanging outside most of the evening. Once again I appreciate all their support!
Apparently I could make a killing off making & selling these paper mache flowers - people kept asking Macy if they were for sale & even took our business cards to get in touch with me later... pretty crazy!

We're ready, we're set, it's a go...

After what feels like months & months of prep, Macy and I are ready to sell at the school's art fest tonight & the Park Silly Market this summer! The only thing we can't seem to agree upon, is how to set up the booth. I decided to just let Macy design it her way while I sat down and did nothing for a few minutes. Yea me!

Yep, she won again!

This time the prize was a "Queen" trophy along with a "Diamond Tiara!" Too funny! Way to go again May! Now we need to see about extending your bedroom out so we have somewhere to put all these trophies!Here is Macy with the rest of the Park City Gang. Macy, Susie, Carolyn & John all won the "Queen" award. John was so happy he kept his tiara on!
