I think I'm going to see my lungs soon....

I don't understand why I can't just get a regular cold like everyone else. When I get infected it goes straight to my lungs, no sore throat, no congestion, just right to the hacking cough. I feel like Nicole Kidman in Moulin Rouge - without the blood though (thank heavens...) Makes me very tired and my chest feels like a steel spike is being rammed through my lung.... >:(

Favorite Moments...

I fully admit that I have been an Olympic TV watching junkie for the past two weeks (I'm sure I am not the only one)! There were so many outstanding moments, too many to mention even, but below are just a few pictures of my favorites. I loved watching Apollo skate so relaxed and smooth, Julia Mancuso kicked some butt along with Bode Miller, who will ever forget our men's nordic combined winners and watching Joannie skating in tribute to her mom. And I REALLY enjoyed watching Evan outskate that TOOL of a Russian!

I would mention Lindsay Vonn, but I have to admit I got really tired of all her on-air time... enough already...

Can't wait for London in 2012!

LOST

I love this show... I'll say it again: I LOVE this show! If you haven't been watching it, you're missing some really great story telling on tv!

Cake in a Mug?

Carter's latest creation - chocolate cake baked in a mug... in the microwave... for 3 minutes... who would have thought? Apparently it was delicious! But most things chocolat-y generally are!

Another Amazing Snow Day!

Complete with Snowman building, sledding, big air jumps & face plants!

Macy and I took to our cliff yesterday for a little sledding action. We thought it might be fun to include a jump in our "Luge" track. It ended up being a big air ride with lots of face plants at the finish! We also built a snowman & buried Bogie in the snow (not sure when he'll come visit us again...)!

After we were done, we so needed a nap... which was what Drew & Carter were doing the whole time... :)

Valentines!

Painting project.... that just HAD to get messy...

Decorating...

Cookies! From Granna's amazing recipe!

Heart socks. Thanks Gammy!

Small surprises!

Some REALLY Tragic Snowmen of the East Coast....

Can I just say...

WE Utahn's laugh at you East Coasters and your "SNOW-POCALYPSE" of a whole 30"!

WE get our children to school in 3 feet of fresh snow & still make it to work on time.

WE are all to happy to snow blow (or shovel) our neighbors driveways, and always remember to put snow tires on our cars in November. And at the very least, we drive vehicles that have All Wheel Drive.

WE haven't had a Snow Day in years. (What is this 3" and everything has to shut down crap?)

Needless to say, WE are prepared for the storms when they hit!

Oh, and WE think your snowmen are pretty sad too!

Now man-up, grab a shovel and stop whining, WE're getting tired of it!

:)

**This Post is meant to be taken in jest... except for the whining part, we are kind of tired of that!**

P.E. Class.....

Carter and Macy both got to go cross country skiing during P.E. class yesterday at school. You'd think that would be awesome and such a great perk considering where we live and how much snow we accumulate. (All I ever got to do in P.E. was play volleyball....) Anyway, Carter came home with the biggest, bloodiest blister on the back of her heel, and Macy got in the car with very aching knees which she then had to go dance on for 4 hours. They both said all they did while on those skis was fall over... I think they'll be sticking with their downhill skis from now on!

Snow Day!

For Macy anyway.

The only one motivated enough to go out in this stuff!

And she shall call him "Buddy!"

Look what Carter got! Look what Carter got!!!!!

A 7 out of 7 on her IB MYP project!!!! (MYP stands for Middle Years Project). She will now receive her International Baccalaureate Certificate, which means she is one step closer to STANFORD! She only has to complete 10 more hours of community service which won't be a problem seeing as though she completed 103 hours alone last summer. I had the opportunity to speak with the IB coordinator the other day, and she had nothing but praise for Carter and her project, and could definitely feel Carter's love of her special needs friends coming through in her presentation. They would like for her to present her project at Ecker Hill Middle School now (where Macy currently attends) because that is where this certificate program begins. So exciting! Drew and I are so proud of her!!!! Way to go Carter!

These kids truly are her extended family :)

Hahahahaha.... Another Sundance Funny!

Subject: Top Ten Reasons Sundance is Hilarious...

1) D-listers, A-listers, PIBS and Furries having no idea how to get around in a snow storm... hence, they fall down A LOT!
2) "Stars" arguing with LOCALS about what movies/shows they've "starred" in...
3) People riding the free bus with their 10 grocery bags to their hotel that is ten feet away.
4) LOCALS only parties that don't allow LOCALS...
5) People who come to a ski town and then complain that it's snowing...
6) Men in really, really tight pants and puffy hats...
7) "I'm a LOCAL because I come here every year for Sundance..." attitude.
8) Standing in line for an hour to get into a film and then being told the film was over-sold, but feel free to use your $15 ticket at the local theatre and see a film after Sundance is over...
9) Robert Redford... what is he 150 now? (Sorry about that one Uncle Bob)
10) $65 to get into the Joan Jet show at Harry O's... didn't she play at the Canyons last year for free?
