A 2nd Place, a 2nd Place, a 2nd Place & a Best in Category!

The results are in! Macy's dance class placed 2nd in each of their dances yesterday, and received an award for Best in Category in Tap. Now I'm not sure how you can receive a 2nd place award in Tap and then a Best in Category for the same dance number, but then I've never been able to figure out just how this judging stuff works... Unfortunately the Ballet number did not include their tambourines since somebody forgot to bring them, so they ended up clapping their way through the number. Not sure if this was why they received 2nd place or not... We were a little disappointed, but the dance studio owners said that 2nd Place was great considering it was their first competition. Most importantly, I think they had a really good time, and that's what they really want to do, have a good time! (Some of the other studios dancers walk around with very stuck up attitudes, but not our girls - thank heavens!)Getting ready!
