After two weekends of tossing, sorting, heavy lifting, trips to the dumpsters & walks down memory lane, Drew & I can safely say that our house is 95% "Purged", or at least it will be today after the donation truck arrives and hauls the remainder away. One of the things that we decided was time to go was Carter & Macy's old sandbox in the backyard. Since they hadn't played in it for at least the last four summers, Drew took it apart, loaded the scraps into the car and headed for the dumpster. But before he could go, Macy said she wanted a piece of the wood as a reminder of the good times. Drew pulled off one of the corners, wrote the date on it, and it will get hung on our garage wall. A big thank you goes out to Grandbob for helping to build it, and to Tompa for continually refilling it with sand each summer! We will think of you both when we look at that hunk of wood hanging on the wall! Good times.... (why do our kids have to grow up so fast?)
Our donation pile, waiting to go to those in need....
