We couldn't believe our eyes, and then we sat there and cried....

I can't believe that my parents used to live in this house... HOLY CRAP! WHAT HAPPENED?

Carter and I decided to drive by a few weeks ago while Macy was attending a dance class, just for a little walk down memory lane. I never dreamed that my parents former home would look so completely abandoned, unloved & just plain dead. All Carter and I could do was stand there with our jaws scraping the weedy pavement. Now if you know my parents, you know that they put 110% into their yard, every flower is lovingly planted, each weed gently pulled and grass happily mowed. And now this... so heartbreaking... I glanced at Carter and could see her face crumbling. What happened to the yard where she used to find the Easter eggs that the bunny had hidden, the courtyard where she used to swing for hours with Tompa & Granna? We didn't stay long and aren't sure we need to ever go back and look again. I know I will not drive Macy by either, Carters face said it all and I don't need to repeat that...

We only need to look on the bright side and remember that Tompa & Granna live in a new beautiful house where they sun shines warm all year and where new memories are being made!
