How much Wyoming can you pack in in 48 hours?

We found out! And it was A LOT!
Friday night: Drive to/arrive in Jackson Hole
Saturday: Go to Breakfast
Walk around town
Drive to Jenny Lake
Visit Teton Village/have lunch
Back to Jackson - naps for Drew & Carter/shopping for Macy & Jill
Thai dinner
More walking around town
Off to bed!
Sunday: Early Breakfast
Drive to Yellowstone
Lunch before Old Faithful blows
Old Faithful show
Hot pot stroll
Bison encounter
More hot pot strolling
Drive home

And the whole time I was walking down memory lane, looking for the little black bears with the red collars and rings with three turquoise stones :)

After checking out the town (and all the ancient climbing gear displayed in one of the mountaineering shops of which Drew proudly pointed out all the pieces which he had owned in the past - which were many), it was off the check out the Tetons, Jenny Lake & Teton village! Jenny Lake was my favorite part of the trip! The view was stunning! Something you just don't really appreciate when you are young. And even though the Tetons where socked in by some clouds, they were still amazing to behold!

So here we are having some fun with the wildlife! Unfortunately the only bears we saw were either stuffed or bronzed. Carter and Macy perfectly captured the expression of this little bear. And we know you are supposed to stay a few hundred yards away from any roaming animals, but this bison just didn't seem to care how close we were! :)

The trip wouldn't have been complete without a visit to "Old Faithful!" I hadn't seen it in 30 years, but it was just as amazing AND smelly as I'd remembered!

As hard as I tried, I was unable (and not surprised) that the little Black Bears with the red collars were no where to be seen in any of the gift shops :(
Like Old Faithful, they should be a Wyoming staple!

Homecoming!

Yes - Carter went and looked like this!

BEAUTIFUL! Love the dress and its Asian flair! She had a good time, but I think would rather have been home curled up with her physics & chemistry books....
