The results are in....

The "Blaze" dance team earned 2 rubies and an emerald for their dances yesterday. Two rubies and an emerald? I know, confusing scoring.... I'd let you know what it meant if I knew what it meant! What I do know is that the team danced the best I have seen them yet! Way to go ladies & way to go Macy!

Off to Dance Competition #3.....

Unfortunately, no solo dance this time - Macy was wait listed and didn't get in. Oh well, less pressure! We will let you know the results upon our return!

It's always an adventure coming home these days.....

This is what remains of the sheet of ice and snow that came off our roof yesterday while we were at work & school! We knew it was going to happen soon when we returned from St. George and it had slid and was overhanging about 4 feet. Drew got up there with his harness and ice axe, trying to remove as much as he could from around Carter's tree so that it wouldn't shred it on its slide down. Good thing he did, or I think half of the tree would be gone now..... One day after it all melts, I'll be able to pull into the garage again! Macy had fun playing polar bear on the ice caps though!

Enjoying the Baskets!

And the clothes that were in them! All set to go to Hawaii now!!

The great Easter Egg Hunt & Basket discovery!

Not sure all the eggs were found, hope the chipmunks like chocolate! Thank you Easter Bunny!

A fun weekend!

Everyone had a great time in St. George this weekend, whether it was hiking, swimming, shopping, or hitting some balls at the driving range! And the sun felt awesome too! Thanks Granna & Tompa for letting us invade your home once again!!

This is just great.......

"The current financial crisis in the US is likely to be judged in retrospect as the most wrenching since the end of the Second World War. The crisis will leave many casualties."

- Former US Federal Reserve chairman Alan Greenspan said in remarks published Monday.

I can't wait to see these little guys again!

Every year on May 1st when I am out on my early morning run, I hear my first hummingbird of the season. I make sure that I am out running on that particular morning, rain or shine, healthy or under the weather, and I am never disappointed! Eventually somewhere along my route I hear that familiar buzzing sound, and sure enough, one will go whipping by over head. It's like my special reward for getting through the winter months, and that SPRING is finally here! So as of today, I only have 47 more days until they return. I only hope that there won't be that many more days of snow! Enough already!!!!!

This is what our 4 feeders look like at the end of August.....

At dusk, we look out our kitchen window and watch at least 30 of these little guys vying for a position on one of the feeders! It really is kind of a freak show (although a good one)! The only sad thing is that when we see them all crazy and frantic like that, we know they are going to be heading south soon because colder temps are heading our way..... There really are only 2 seasons in Park City, winter & getting ready for winter :(

A Movie for Everyone!

Macy, Drew & I just saw this movie and it was fantastic! Everyone should go and see it!
Who-ville, a place where you can eat rainbows & poop butterflies!

Today is.......

CRAZY hair day at Jeremy Ranch Elementary. Next year Macy, we should think about this one for you!

I want one of these!

ONE tee
Made in Lesotho, Africa. EDNU will give $10 from each ONE tee shirt sold back to the ALAFA fund, which provides medication to Lesotho factory workers and their family members suffering with AIDS. In 2007, this contribution amounted to $310,000. We should all purchase one!

Best friends at last nights Dance Competition!

Will keep you posted as to how they placed... we don't know yet.  Great fun was had by all!

Carter & Katie

Katie hates this costume!  She danced great though!

Macy competes her first solo!

It was very exciting!  I think I was more nervous than she was!  It was great to see her up there on the stage by herself.  She competed against 7 other girls and came in 2nd place!  It seems as though in order to win these days, you have to be more of a gymnast than a dancer.  Girls are putting back handsprings and ariels in to their pieces.  Macy by far had the best technique and choreography.  All the other competitors had girly High School Musical dances, and Macy got up there and performed her Rock-N-Roll number.   It was by far the most original!!!!  Way to go May!

Name & Number which were pinned on...

This is the Trophy won!

Congratulations Macy!  You did a fantastic job & we are so proud of you!

This is who I am thinking of.... it was one year ago...

Sibby was a wonderful dog & I miss her unconditional love....

BASHED MAILBOX!

This is what I came home to after work yesterday!  Not even an anonymous "I'm sorry" note was left behind.  What is with people today?

It's supposed to be facing East, but it's facing North now....

Good thing there is a huge snowbank for support!

This is what Carter has been up to.......

Registering for 8th Grade!  What she really wants is to stay a Timberwolf, and NOT be a Mustang.  I can't say that I blame her.  It amazes me that whoever the architect was for Treasure Mountain Middle School didn't even take advantage of the incredible view!  Or at the very least, put in more windows.  That school is like a dungeon!  I keep telling her she just has to suck it up, do her two year sentence and then she will have a beautiful, newly remodeled high school to go to.  Mentally prepare yourself now Carter!.....

Here's what the schedule is looking like for 8th Grade...

This is the math schedule after 7th grade Algebra....

Geometry, Algebra 2, Math (some random numbers here, not sure what they mean), AP Calculus AB & finally AP Calculus BC.  If you want to be a Doctor when you grow up, you have to pay (right Grandbob?)! Good luck Carter!  Macy wants to be a Doctor too, or a professional dancer, it's still up in the air.....
